The Garlic Moon Circle follows selected works after they leave the studio. It keeps account of where a piece travels, who carries it, and how it begins to gather air around itself.

A photograph becomes embroidery. Cloth enters a room of sound. A body carries the work into performance. What remains is not only documentation, but a record of presence.

Session One

GLEDD With Gudda

Radio Record, Studio Film And Stage Movement

Gudda now moves with DJ and producer GLEDD. His practice travels through soul, funk, disco and deep house, with a collector’s care for records, rooms and atmosphere.

In the Circle film, Gudda does not sit outside the sound. It becomes part of the room. The work rests on his shoulders while records move around it, holding both body and rhythm.

GLEDD was also recorded on air for the #200 edition at Amplify Radio 95.5 FM through Cross Fade. This gives the work another kind of record: less posed, more active, held inside the real machinery of music.

Gudda continues to travel with DJ GLEDD across places and stages. Recently, it appeared at the Saint Wax Showcase in CDMX, Mexico, where GLEDD performed in full energy wearing the piece. Footage is awaited.

Session Two

Tomoki Tamura With Rock 2.0

Yoyaku Record Store, Paris

Rock 2.0 continues its journey with Tomoki Tamura, appearing throughout his Yoyaku Record Store session in Paris.

The piece remains present through the full performance, moving quietly within Tomoki’s long-form musical language and the intimate setting of the record store.

This session follows earlier appearances with Tomoki on Djerba Island, forming an ongoing record of Rock 2.0 moving through sound, place and time.

KMRU With Sambhar 1.0

Courtisane Festival And Roadburn Festival

Sambhar 1.0 now lives with musician and sound artist Joseph Kamaru, known as KMRU. His work treats listening as research, moving through ambient composition, field recording and slowly shifting tone.

The work carries a desert scene in embroidery beside KMRU’s listening practice. It has moved from studio stillness into festival sound, where cloth, body and frequency sit inside the same record.

Sambhar 1.0 is living and journeying with KMRU across festivals. The piece was seen during his performances on April 3 at Courtisane Festival in Ghent, Berlin, and again on April 19 at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Netherlands.

Image Cloth And Sound

Within the Circle, mixed media is not treated as decoration around the work. Image, cloth, sound and film are different ways of holding the same memory.

A piece may begin from a photograph, a field sketch, a found textile, or a feeling carried from a record. The order changes, but the line remains.
