GARLIC MOON
Sambhar 2.0 | Hand Embroidered Shirt

Inspired by a photograph taken near Sambhar Lake, Rajasthan in 2022,
this piece reimagines that moment, not as it was, but as it might be in thread.
Each horn, robe, and hoof was shaped over months of work with quiet precision.
The embroidery runs across the front and back, depicting a shepherd and his sheep walking along the hem of a relaxed short-sleeved shirt.
Metallic threads, textured stitches, and tones of rust, rose, and brown reflect the salt plains of Rajasthan.
The base is unbleached handloom cotton, finished with Garlic Moon’s vintage-finish cast silver buttons.
This is not a reproduction of Sambhar 1.0 (unreleased).
It is a reworked memory — a step ahead of the photograph.
